It's done. Three years of Ferrari dominance at Le Mans — wiped out by a Toyota that started 14th on the grid and refused to quit for twenty-four brutal hours. The No. 7 Toyota TR010 of Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries crossed the line first at the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans, beating the No. 20 BMW M Hypercar by just 10.913 seconds.
Ten seconds. After twenty-four hours of racing. That's Le Mans in a sentence.
How It Happened
This was not the race anyone had scripted. Cadillac's No. 38 of Earl Bamber, Jack Aitken, and Sébastien Bourdais owned the first half of the race — fast, consistent, and building a lead that felt comfortable. Then, with just over twelve hours remaining, a power steering failure ended their run entirely. One moment you're building a dynasty; the next you're watching it end from the pit wall.
Toyota played the long game. Both the No. 7 and No. 8 TR010s ran a disciplined short-pitting strategy throughout, staying in contention while the faster cars burned out or broke down. With about three hours left, the No. 7 hunted down the surviving Cadillac No. 12, pounced under a caution, and never looked back.
Kamui Kobayashi — not just a driver, but the Team Principal of Toyota's entire WEC program — drove the final stint himself. He built the team. He brought it home. There's no better way to write that chapter.

Toyota's 6th Le Mans. Ferrari's Streak: Over.
Toyota has now won Le Mans six times, maintaining a 50% win rate in WEC. This is Nyck de Vries' first Le Mans win — his first season back with Toyota after a difficult stint in Formula 1. For Conway and Kobayashi, who won together in 2021, this is a triumphant return to the top step they know well.
"What a week," Kobayashi said from the Winners' Circle. "Le Mans is something special for us. We never gave up, we tried until the end."
Ferrari won in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Three straight. It felt like the beginning of an era. Toyota just reminded everyone that eras end at Le Mans, often in the dark, often with no warning. That's endurance racing.
And Corvette Took LMGT3
Don't miss the GT story. Jonny Edgar brought the TF Sport No. 33 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R across the line first in LMGT3, ending years of Porsche dominance in that class. A big day for American motorsport, full stop.
Le Mans 2027 cannot come fast enough.
